Elizabeth R. Edwards joined Aziz Law Firm in 1995 and has dedicated her practice solely to Immigration Law.
A native of Charlotte, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wake Forest University,
graduating Magna Cum Laude. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was chosen to spend her Junior year studying
abroad in London, UK.
Ms. Edwards received her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. In 2001,
she obtained the status of North Carolina Board Certified Immigration Law Specialist.
As an active member of the American Immigration Law Association (AILA), Ms. Edwards served on its Board of Governors
while Chair of the Carolinas Chapter from 2002-2004. She has spoken at and participated in the planning of national
conferences and seminars on immigration law. She has written articles for conferences put on by AILA, Wake Forest
University, and National Business Institute. Ms. Edwards is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court,
a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, and a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association.
